Fraudulent Notes & Scam Buyers!

Hello All

We have recently received calls/information around the the Derbyshire Dales in relation too - 💰 Fraudulent Notes & Scam Buyers👮

Instances of fake money being used at Church events or for buying high value goods, such as mobile phones or game consoles and as it gets closer towards the festive season (sorry to mention this), we do see a significant increase to the amount of reported scams and fraudulent bank notes in circulation. Please help protect yourself in case you try to sell some unwanted items or see a deal online that is too good to be true!

But here are a couple to highlight at this present time…

Bank Notes💰 : There are many ways that scammers attempt to imitate bank notes! And whilst some bank notes are laughably incorrect, some notes do appear real to someone who isn't used to handling money. Face to face dangers💻 : Whilst the vast majority of people who are wanting to buy goods online are honest and genuine people, there's the 1% who are there to try and scam regular folk. If you are asked to meet in person, double check the buyers profile. Is the profile new? What does your gut say? If you're never sure, just say no!  If you are confident it is genuine, refrain from giving them your home address and meet in a public place such as a carpark, and if possible take a friend.
